What Are Emulators?

Emulators are handy little programs the "emulate" or mimic the configuration utility of routers/modems.
These are useful so you can adjust settings and see the menus without actually having to log into the device or change the real settings.

2Wire

2Wire Emulators:

Usual Default Gateway for AT&T 2Wire gateways: 192.168.1.254
Usual Default Gateway for Qwest 2Wire gateways: 192.168.0.1
You can check this by using ipconfig. For help using ipconfig, click here then click on the Default Gateway Tab.

The 2Wire System wireless security password (WEPkey/WPA) is printed on the side of the gateway. This password can usually be reset to default if it has been changed.

Siemens

Siemens Emulators:

Siemens Modem/Gateway Guides:

Siemens products generally work well with Sky Angel IPTV after some minor configuration changes.

Often the solution is to disable the device's firewalls and attack detection features.
Another solution is to bridge the modem.

Westell

Westell Emulators:

Certain Westell models may have a different Default Gateway. You can check this by using ipconfig.

If the Westell was provided by Verizon, the firmware may be completely different than the one depicted here.
(Some Verizon firmware matches the Verizon ActionTec interface)

Netopia modems can sometimes cause trouble with SkyAngel.
It is generally recommended to bridge these modems.
If this is not possible you can try to log in and configure the modem manually.
